A beautiful piece of Japanese fabric – bought for me by my daughter – inspired this piece. The fabric was sold as a handkerchief but I thought it needed a better use. I have had this kimono pattern for many years and it is from an old edition of Patchwork and Quilting magazine (August 2004) and the article and pattern is by Anne Wellington. If anyone would like to make this little kimono I am quite happy to send the pattern and instructions by the post.
