Recently a friend recommended Sally Hirst’s lotus book tutorial, using gelli plate prints to create the double sided pages. I haven’t used my gelli plate for simply ages and it was great yesterday to spend some time playing around with paint and my Japanese stencils. The excellent tutorial can be found on YouTube.

This was a lovely project to do – recommended by a friend – and a very simple to follow tutorial. The same friend has recommended the Turkish Map Fold Book which looks really good and I’m looking forward to trying that.
