I have just spent a week on the North Norfolk coast, using the time to walk and sketch. At the beginning of the week I purchased a small sketchbook – postcard size – and endeavoured to fill it while I was there, making my focus the beach at Cromer. There is nothing remarkable about this beach but it is beautiful in its own way.
One of the things I wanted to do was sketch in situ and I was surprised how easy that was to do – good weather and somewhere to sit being the main requirements! The beach is predominantly pebbles and groynes, so that is what the little sketchbook reflects, plus some of the flora on the walk down to the beach.
