The rain yesterday gave me the perfect excuse to spend the day painting, so I made a little concertina book of butterflies. I used my Koh-I-Noor palette and my Inktense pencils, on watercolour paper that I’d prepared earlier with a mixture of walnut ink and green brusho. A little bit of loose printing on top with acrylic paints to suggest flowers.
Beautiful love the colours, so realistic

Hi Pam,
Thank you for all your comments when I post a blog page – good to know someone is taking a look! I’ve honed in on butterflies this summer just as a little mini project for myself – something I may just return to every now and then as the colours and shapes are so appealing.
